Kobe (神戸市) is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture and a prominent port city in Japan with a population of about 1.5 million. Kobe is famed in Japan’s business world for having one of the busiest harbours for maritime trade, being ranked 3rd in size in the country, as well as one of the largest in the world.

Kobe is the sixth largest city in Japan, and located in the Kansai region of Japan and is part of the Keihanshin (京阪神) metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto.

Kobe may be famous for its symbol such as : Kobe Port Tower, Harborland, Kobe Chinatown Motomachi, The Giant Panda Koukou at Oji Zoo.

Kobe has a several nice nightlife attractions. Party animals, quiet drinkers, ones who prefer to jive the night away and the ones who are more into a varied musical fare to sooth their frayed nerves at the end of the day. There's something for everyone in terms of the Kobe nightlife. Most of them you will find in the north of Sannomiya.. restaurants, and small bars enough, but for the Big nightclubs, its good to go to Osaka, just 30min with the train from the Sannomiya station!

Nightlife in Kobe flaunts some real lineage too. Smokey Bar, Kobe was founded way back in 1955 and it's still going great guns. So is the Second Chance Bar, Kobe, with its very peppy Hawaiian décor and an ambience to match.

View near the world's longest suspension bridge in Kobe Japan. The bridge opened in 1998, so has already taken the shake of the great Kobe Earthquake of 1995, has span between two towers of 1,991 m. The main suspension cable is 1,122 mm in diameter. The cable has 290 strands and each strand has 127 wires of 5.23 mm diameter each. Wires are made of high strength galvanized steel.
